About Babyz

Babyz was formed by a team of clinical midwifery experts to provide an evidence-based, educational platform of information, to support, empower and nurture new parents.

From practical tips, health studies and demonstration videos. Babyz offer relevant education while maintaining a warm and compassionate approach.

While having a network of friends, parents and relatives for support makes a huge difference, the advice can be conflicting and romanticized.

The Babyz team have experienced it all and parents can be assured that the information they receive is backed by a broad range of honest experience and years of dedication and passion.

Babyz understands and is here to help.

You’re in safe hands

Babyz - Rachel Bush

Rachel Bush

I have been passionate about Midwifery, parenting education, and perinatal mental health since I was a child. I was the eldest of five children, and extremely hands-on.

My parent craft skills as a child were well developed, and I was often sent to neighbours after they gave birth so that I could teach them bathing and settling techniques.

I had a fascination each time my pregnant mother would birth a baby, breastfeed and sustain another human being. I admired women, and what their bodies could achieve.

I still do. I have never lost the passion for supporting new parents as they navigate the journey of pregnancy and new parenthood. There are good days, and bad days.

I keep it real with a simple “what works for the parent approach”, within the safety of current clinical expertise developed over decades of clinical practice, and clinical evidence being the basis of all advise Babyz team provides to new parents.

Rachel currently works and manages a prominent Maternity unit in Sydney.

She has experienced eight pregnancies, the tragic loss of her son to cancer, and has two beautiful daughters of which she is immensely proud.

Lucy sutherland

Lucy Sutherland

I was first introduced to the world of Midwifery when I was 8 years old. My sister was born at 23 weeks and weighing just 620 grams.

Watching on from the bedside, I was inspired by the Midwives who were holding my mum’s hand as she went through such a life-changing experience. I am passionate about women’s health and constantly in awe of the power of women every day.

I have a particular interest in supporting parents in the postnatal period and through the journey of parenthood. I use my evidence-based clinical skills and practical approach to guide parents through the complexities of having a new baby, whilst remaining approachable and empathetic.
